UHD recognized as outstanding critical access hospital - Faribault County Register, April 22, 2013
For the second time, United Hospital District in Blue Earth has been named one of the HealthStrong (tm) Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) in the United States.

The HealthStrong (tm) Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals, including United Hospital District, scored best among critical access hospitals on the iVantage Health Analytics' Hospital Strength Index (tm). The 2013 Top 100 CAH announcement is the second release of this important designation. The Hospital Strengh Index is the first-ever comprehensive rating of CAHs and the results recognize the Top 100 Critial Access Hospitals that provide a "safety-net" to communities acrosss rural America - measuring them across 56 different performance metrics, including quality, outcomes, patient perspective, affordability and efficiency.
